This is a very simple tool that does exactly what it is supposed to do and it does it very well. The square is just a simple aluminum extrusion that has been milled square. At first glance it might be passed by as a solution without a problem; however, this is not the case. | |
After using the tool only a few times I've found it
to be very handy. While it isn't absolutely necessary it does make life a little
easier. I use this when transcribing lines across a corner as shown in the picture
and as a small 90 degree square as well. The device itself is as square as I can
measure. At the intersection of the face there is a relief groove that keeps the
square from being thrown off due to irregularities on corners. The outside has
ridges that are an aid when handling the square. The square costs around $9, that may seem a little high for a chunk of aluminum but after using it a while I consider it to be worth every penny. |
